This is the first of what we hope will be a regular webinar about sharing learning and good practice for involvement, co-production and engagement of local people in the health and care system throughout Lancashire and South Cumbria. In this, our first webinar, we take a look at Blackpool and the innovative and successful approaches to engagement and co-production that have been adopted by Healthwatch Blackpool and Blackpool Council’s co-production team.
Participants will have a chance to really get into the detail behind the engagement methods, and the difference they have made. Healthwatch Blackpool will share its powerful engagement of children and young people to gain more insight and help respond to the increasing level of concern about the use of e-cigarettes and vapes amongst children and young people. Blackpool Council will share its experiences of coproduction and lived experience focusing on the engagement of children and young people to support the Blackpool SEND Inspection. There will be an opportunity to ask questions and dive deeper into the process of involvement, engagement and co-production as well as changes as a result of engagement.
