Hello and welcome to the November edition of the Lancashire ‘Place-based’ newsletter which aims to ensure all our system partners are kept informed and up to date with ‘Place’ development across Lancashire.
HAPPA (Horses and Ponies Protection Association) have Christmas all wrapped up with a range of Christmas activities for all this December. The Christmas events will all be held at the Charity’s Shores Hey Farm, Briercliffe, Burnley, BB10 3QU, to help raise funds.
For those who have not attended before this is an amazing fun, festive, FREE event. 10 teams from various organisations across the Northwest, come together to compete in games, and silliness in true Blackburn Christmas style.
Your teams should consist of a mix of people who use your services and staff. You will not regret attending this, I assure you of that! (events designed for all abilities to take part.)

An inspiring event is coming up where Prospective Parliamentary Candidates (PPCs), will discuss the importance of getting tomorrow's aspiring policy makers excited about global issues!

As we remember those who've been affected directly and indirectly by men's violence against women, we're calling on all men to #ChangeTheStory and stand up for a future without violence.
Beat The Streets' series of planting will start on the 26th November during National Tree Week, what better way to kickstart their planting!
Lancashire County Council's Public Health Team is pleased to announce Lancashire's Oral Health Campaign for young children is now live. The campaign will feature mainly in the districts of Lancashire which currently have the poorest oral health outcomes for children; Burnley, Pendle, Preston, and parts of Lancaster, including Morecambe.
It’s a totally informal and drop in session where people can try out a variety of folk arts, have a brew, or just relax. The sessions will be led by artist Jennifer Reid. The Carers Craft Café is at The Salon, 160 St James St, Burnley. There’s a warm welcome for all.

This week, NCVO launched their open letter calling on the chancellor to ensure public service contracts are uplifted in the Autumn Statement.
The Warm Welcome campaign was launched in late October. It provides an online map of warm welcome spaces, which you can view here.
The invitation only workshop session is being held on November 24th at 14:00pm-16:00pm at the Unity Wellbeing Centre, 79 Vernon St, BB9 9DE. Beverages and snacks will be provided to attendees.

Invitation to attend a workshop for new safer, greener and healthier streets in Hall Carr, Rawtenstall
Lancashire County Council (LCC) has been awarded funding from the government’s Levelling Up Fund (LUF) to invest across East Lancashire. It can be used to make streets safer, greener, and healthier, to improve access to public transport, and to develop new routes for walking, cycling and wheeling. Essentially, it will involve developing ideas to re-imagine our streets and public spaces and create better places for everyone.
