StreetGames launches new #UpMyStreet campaign

11/8/2026

“Sport has changed my life because it’s given me something to work for and something to be a part of.”

We’re proud to share our new #UpMyStreet campaign, featuring the voices of young people from our network of community partners across the country. They’ve shared the incredible ways sport and physical activity have helped them: finding safer places to spend time, building stronger relationships, improving their mental and physical wellbeing and discovering new opportunities for education, training and employment. For some, the benefits have transformed their futures.
For Ibrahim, taking part in his local community basketball sessions has not only increased his activity levels; it’s also seen him:
  • Build his confidence
  • Visit new places and broaden his horizons
  • Develop a sense of purpose
Yet too many young people from low-income households and under-served communities are missing out on these opportunities.
StreetGames works alongside trusted community partners to bring sport to young people's doorsteps, removing barriers and helping every young person enjoy the benefits of being active. But we can’t do it alone.
We need your help to champion our cause and bring the benefits of community sport to more young people across the country.
If you believe every young person deserves the chance to thrive through sport, we'd love you to get behind the #UpMyStreet campaign and join our mission to transform more young lives.
