Rail Maintenance training with Lancashire Adult Learning and Redstone Training - New dates and extra location - July and August 2024 Starting from this next round of training, Lancashire Adult Learning are proud to be working with our new Rail Partner - Redstone Training, to maximise job opportunities for learners. We are working with employers in the rail industry to recruit and train their new team members due to a high demand in the sector across the North West. This new partnership has also allowed us to extend the locations where the training will be delivered and the work opportunities available. The programme will now be delivered in Brierfield/Accrington, Preston and Lancaster (Carnforth). The programmes will support students to be 'track ready' once they have completed the necessary training. As usual, this opportunity is funded for 19+ learners who are unemployed and claiming benefits such as Universal Credit or on a low-income of less than £20,319 per year (Increased to £25,000 from August 2024). The training will consist of an 8-week full time programme (including PTS and TIC) starting at the dates and locations below. Information and Enrolment sessions will be held before the training commences so that students can find out more about the programme and opportunities available. If you have any referrals for clients/service users interested in this opportunity please contact me via email at richard.dwyer@nelsongroup.ac.uk or phone 01254 354423. Referrals will then be contacted with more details and an invitation to the next Information and Enrolment session. Applicants will also be informed of the photo ID, documentation and criminal record declaration process (if applicable) required to participate. For any referrals with unspent convictions we would recommend applying ASAP to allow time for the declaration process.
