Community CVS are offering limited places for the upcoming government funded Aspiring Leaders in Health and Social Care Skills Bootcamp, a heavily subsidised leadership development programme starting  14th January 2026.

This 10-session programme is tailored for aspiring and current managers across the health, social care, and VCFSE sectors in Lancashire. (Course breaks for half term).

Who is it for?

This programme is ideal for individuals looking to strengthen their leadership skills, enhance their confidence, and gain practical tools to lead teams and projects more effectively.

Course Content Includes:
  • Leadership Styles and Skills
  • Managing Teams, People and Motivation
  • Project Management Tools and Techniques
  • Understanding Coaching, Mentoring & Advice
  • Effective Communication & Conflict Resolution
  • Mission, Vision, Values & Organisational Strategy
  • Artificial Intelligence - Prompt Writing in ChatGPT
Participants can also choose to complete a CMI-accredited qualification (Level 3 or 5 Award in Management and Leadership).

Cost and Funding:
  • £345 for SME employers (90% funded)
  • £750 for non-SMEs (approx. 80% funded)
  • Fully funded for individuals that will secure a new job in the health or social care sector following course commencement.
Eligibility:
  • Learners must be 19+
  • Must be based in Lancashire
  • Must work in or contribute to the health or social care sector

Progression Evidence Required:
To support the funding, all we ask for is a short letter from the employer at the end of the programme explaining how the learner has applied what they’ve learned by taking on some new responsibilities - whether that’s leading a project, managing people, or starting a new initiative. We’ll keep in touch throughout the programme and support this process - this evidence is required before course completion.

How to Apply:
Places are limited so to express interest or secure your places, please contact Myka Gleave on 01254 503043 or email [email protected]
