Grant for community groups in Burnley running early years groups - deadline 15th September

Early Years Grants are available to community groups who provide sessions for parent/carer and 0-5 years.

The funding aims to support children at risk of falling further behind in their early learning and development and aims to alleviate some of the financial pressures and challenges of living in poverty to:
​

1. enable children and families to play and learn in a community setting
2. provide opportunities for parents/carers to learn new skills to support play and learn at home and
3. provide age appropriate learning resources to support skills development in the home environment.

Grants are for a maximum of £2,000 and are for already established groups currently offering this support. It is not to be used to set up new groups.
This can include:

• offering clubs free of charge at zero cost to families
• increasing the number of sessions on offer
• increasing the numbers who can access sessions
• provision of age appropriate learning packs for families (mandatory- every child must be given one Early Learning Pack appropriate to their age and stage of learning) to be provided by the family hubs.

Please note that a condition of the grant is to work with the family hubs team who will visit you once per month
 
Applications will close on 15th Sep or when funding has been allocated - whichever is the earlier.
