BPRCVS appreciates and understands the value of volunteering. That’s why we have a dedicated Volunteer Centre for all things voluntary. The Volunteer Centre provides a professional, high quality brokerage service.

The BPRCVS Volunteer Centre has a database of volunteering opportunities which can help individuals find the right opportunity for them or can help organisations find much needed volunteers.

The Volunteer Centre is part of a national network of volunteer centres coordinated by the National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO).

Why Volunteer?

People volunteer for many different reasons and at different stages in life:

  • If you’re looking to develop your current skills or learn new skills
  • If you want to gain experience in a particular industry or job type
  • If you’re unemployed and looking for permanent paid work
  • If you’re retired and looking to keep busy
  • If you’re a part-time worker and want to donate your spare time
  • If you have some free time and looking to socialise
  • If you want to be involved in your community

Whatever your reason for volunteering BPRCVS is always happy and able to help you find a suitable position that fits your requirements.

The voluntary sector depends on volunteers to enable organisations, groups and charities to deliver services in the community. Without your help many people may miss out on vital services, assistance and support. Together we can make sure this doesn’t happen.

What We Do For Volunteers

For all opportunities the Volunteer Centre checks that the organisations have the right structures, policies and procedures in place to support volunteers in the workplace.

BPRCVS proactively seek out new and existing voluntary positions available at organisations based throughout the East Lancashire region.

We regularly set up a Volunteer Centre stand in local supermarkets, shopping centres, libraries and at community events where you can find more information about the service and available opportunities.

Contact the Volunteer Centre to discuss your needs over the phone or to arrange a face-to-face meeting with our committed Volunteer Centre staff.

We recruit, support and provide essential training for people who are looking at volunteering.

Current Training Opportunities For Volunteers

The Volunteer Centre provides specialist training for those looking to start volunteering, but are not quite sure how to get involved, and for volunteers that are looking to develop skills and knowledge to help them with a voluntary position. Have a look at the courses, information sessions and workshops that we have going on over the next few months.

What We Do For Organisations

The BPRCVS Volunteer Centre can support an organisation to build capacity towards enabling volunteers to work for the organisation.

We promote opportunities through a variety of methods to reach as many potential volunteers as possible.

BPRCVS regularly set up a Volunteer Centre stand in shopping centres, supermarkets, events, libraries and many more places to promote your opportunities to the public and to recruit new volunteers.

The Volunteer Centre manages voluntary applications on your behalf and matches the right applicant to the right opportunity.

We prepare volunteers with support and essential training on the requirements of volunteering before coming to work for your company.
