Representing You

Burnley, Pendle and Rossendale Council for Voluntary Services is an infrastructure organisation. An infrastructure organisation is one that works behind the scenes to ensure that local third sector groups and organisations get the support they need. BPRCVS exists to support the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector to achieve its aims.

BPRCVS represents the local community groups of Burnley, Pendle and Rossendale at a strategic level. We represent our local community groups, organisations and charities by being members of One Lancashire, Third Sector Lancashire and The Lancashire Association of CVS’s along with other consortia.

Across Lancashire we work collectively with these partners and affiliates to ensure that our local communities are represented. This ensures that BPRCVS remains informed of new opportunities and is in a position to take advantage of the delivery of new opportunities which creates benefits in the local community.

An example of this representation in action is the £700,000+ that has been introduced into the East Lancashire region. This was achieved by working closely with the East Lancashire Clinical Commissioning Group. BPRCVS has been managing their social prescribing grants in conjunction with Hyndburn and Ribble Valley CVS.

Burnley, Pendle and Rossendale CVS also work with other public sector departments and multi-agency networks. We often work in partnership to pool our expertise and knowledge in order to help address local needs in our diverse communities.
