NHS70 Light Up Blue

Help celebrate the NHS's 70th Birthday

To help celebrate the NHS’s 70th Birthday NHS England has started a project to ask landmarks across our North West to light up blue.  Our big day is on the 5th of July where our patients and staff will be celebrating our birthday at events across our healthcare settings whether it be a local GP practices or hospital.

In the evening on the 5th July some of our famous landmarks have signed up to turn the lighting blue and support our 70th birthday.  Blackpool Tower, University of Liverpool Learning Laboratory, Lancashire County Council - County Hall and the Merseygateway Bridge to name but a few are joining our birthday celebration. For our full list please go to: https://www.nhs70.nhs.uk/buildings-to-turn-blue/

We are calling on churches, mosques, castles, historic homes and any large buildings in towns, cities and villages to get involved and light up blue if they have the facilities to do so - and join our other landmarks across the North West.

On the night we would like the general public to help us celebrate and get involved by taking photographs of the lit up buildings on the evening of 5th July and sharing across social media @NHSEnglandNorth with the hashtag #LightUpBlue #NHS70
