Gannow Going Green

Helping to protect the environment is important to BPRCVS

When BPRCVS took over the Gannow Community Centre building, Lancashire County Council had, in 2013, completed an energy efficiency survey. This survey determined the building was rated at 119 and put Gannow Community Centre in band E. The energy efficiency banding is from A – G with a score from 1 – 150 whereby A is the highest energy efficiency rating.

BPRCVS are currently applying for additional funding for new boilers and we also had another Lancashire County Council energy audit. This has taken into consideration the Gannow Big Local investment into radiators, LED lighting and the UPVc front door. The newly awarded energy certificate now shows that Gannow Community Centre has significantly improved its energy efficiency and are now in band C with a score of 72. This is a massive improvement that will significantly reduce our energy consumption and therefore help protect the environment.

BPRCVS are committed to protecting the environment and 'going green.' We remain dedicated to improve the energy efficiency of our facilities and work is ongoing.
