Creative Graphic Designer Wanted

We want to hear from creative graphic designers interested in volunteering

BPRCVS have an opportunity for a skilled graphic designer to volunteer and help out with a project. The project is currently of indeterminate length as it will depend upon how many hours the successful candidate can do each week. 5 hours per week may result in approximately a 3 month project.

The project is predominantly centred around the BPRCVS website and improving the graphics throughout the whole website. In addition to this there may be requirements to produce bespoke graphics on an ad-hoc basis for use in promotional activity, social media and more.

If you have your own software and wish to bring your own laptop that is absolutely fine. If you don't have any graphic design software on a personal device, BPRCVS can provide this on a dedicated PC in the office.

Previous experience and an understanding of marketing concepts and principles is preferred, but not essential. The role is office based at The CVS Centre, Yorkshire Street, Burnley, BB11 3BT although working remotely for some of the hours each week may be possible. You will be expected to turn up at The CVS Centre at least once a week. We can be flexible around your current commitments and obligations. All travel expenses are fully reimbursed. Applicants must be at least 16 years old.

This voluntary opportunity is suited to artistic, creative-minded people with a flair for producing eye-catching, quality graphics and imagery. The role is ideal for a designer who is looking to develop existing skills and experience or develop new ones and it is perfect for a student graphic designer looking to gain invaluable workplace experience.

All work created will be made available for you to use in a portfolio to show to prospective employers or educational establishments. A full reference will also be provided upon completion of the project.
