I became the new Chairman of BPRCVS in October 2015 and was re-elected in October 2016. I was appointed Chairman as an individual member.

Formerly, I was a Deputy Lieutenant of Lancashire; a Lay Member for the Mental Health Review Tribunal; a Magistrate; a Volunteer, Deputy Manager and Chairman of Pendle CAB. She was also a member of Lancashire Probation Board; a member of The Duchy of Lancaster Benevolent Fund Panel and founder Chairman of The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service.  During 2013-2014 I was the Blackburn Cathedral Royal Maundy Recipient Researcher and Co-ordinator.

I have been proud to receive a number of awards including a Certificate for Meritorious Service to ATC; a Lifetime Achievement Award from Pendle Borough Council Community Awards; and I was also awarded a MBE.

My interests away from my voluntary and community work include church embroidery, genealogy and writing.
